Description
An intensive overnight renewal cream pairing retinyl linoleate, a gentle retinoid derivative, with glycolic acid, phytic acid and goji to help visibly improve the look of uneven tone, dark spots and skin texture while supporting overall radiance. Formulated for gradual introduction, it works as the skin rests, for a smoother, more luminous-looking complexion over time.
Full Ingredient List

Highlight Ingredients
- Retinyl Linoleate (1%) – a vitamin A derivative that supports skin renewal with markedly less irritation than conventional retinol.
- Glycolic Acid (10%) – helps clear away the appearance of dulling surface cells, refine the look of fine lines, and support collagen production.
- Phytic Acid (8%) – helps neutralize free radicals while supporting the skin’s renewal process.
- Goji Fruit Extract (5%) – an antioxidant botanical that also helps soften the skin.
- Quercetin – a plant-derived antioxidant that helps defend against environmental stressors.
- Gold – a premium finishing ingredient, prized for its luxuriously soothing sensorial quality.
How to Use
Apply in the evening only; this is not intended for daily use, and is best introduced two to three evenings per week initially. As one of the most active formulas in the collection, it should always be introduced gradually rather than used at full strength from the outset.
For all skin tones: begin by diluting Game Over at a ratio of approximately 20% Game Over to 80% Unbothered or Less Drama (always the same-brand moisturizer, to prevent any risk of the two products neutralizing one another or triggering irritation). As tolerance builds over several weeks, the ratio may be gradually increased toward 50/50. A 50/50 dilution is, for many clients, the appropriate long-term level of use rather than a step toward using the product undiluted.
For deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick phototypes IV-VI): dilution is not optional. Game Over should always be mixed at a maximum ratio of 50% Game Over to 50% Unbothered or Less Drama, and should never be applied at full strength.
To support the skin barrier throughout use, pair Game Over with Not on My Watch and Deep In Your Feelings, applied beneath Unbothered or Less Drama.
In summer, diluting Game Over is a must for everyone, and skin should not peel with Game Over during summer.

- Use Skin Shine products together. Our line is designed to work in synergy, so always pair the actives with our own cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. Other brands’ products may contain ingredients that reduce how well the actives work.
- Apply every product with your fingers. Do not use Q-tips, cotton balls or other applicators.
- Wash your hands after applying the actives.
- Stop using all active products (Ghost Mode Gel, Ghost Mode Cream, Not Today, Lit and Game Over) at least 5 days before a facial or laser treatment, and consult your provider.
- Active products can make skin more sensitive to the sun. Use sunscreen with at least SPF 40 every morning (The One Tinted on the face, The One Invisible on the body), reapply every 2 hours, and avoid direct sun exposure.
- Some tingling, redness or irritation can occur, especially when starting a new active.
- If this happens, stop using the active product (Ghost Mode Gel, Ghost Mode Cream, Not Today, Lit or Game Over) and follow the Skin Barrier Support routine until your skin has calmed down. Then reintroduce the active gradually.
Game Over notes:
- Use Game Over at night only, and not every night. Start with 2 to 3 nights a week.
- Always mix it with Less Drama or Unbothered. Start at about 20% Game Over to 80% moisturizer, and build slowly toward 50/50 as skin adjusts. Many people stay at 50/50 long term.
- Deeper skin tones (phototypes IV to VI): always mix, never more than 50/50 Game Over to moisturizer.
- Be careful with sun exposure while using Game Over.
- In summer, diluting Game Over is a must for everyone. Skin should not peel with Game Over during summer; if it does, stop and follow the Skin Barrier Support routine.
- If irritation occurs, dilute Game Over further, or stop it and calm the skin with the Skin Barrier Support routine.
- Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Contraindications & Precautions
- Not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- This is among the most photosensitizing formulas in the collection. Daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen, such as The One, is non-negotiable for the duration of use, with continued diligent sun protection well beyond the week following use.
- Not intended for daily use, and not intended for use at full strength without a gradual introduction period – see How to Use for the required dilution protocol, including the mandatory dilution for deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick phototypes IV-VI).
- Discontinue use if you are known to be sensitive to any of the listed ingredients, or if skin is irritated or compromised.
- Discontinue use and consult a physician if irritation persists.
- If irritation occurs, stop using Game Over and calm the skin with the Skin Barrier Support routine, then reintroduce it gradually with greater dilution.
- For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children.
- Perform a patch test prior to extensive use.
